During his recent visit to Stapleford, Bishop James Almasi spoke about his project to build a boarding school for girls from Southern Tanzania. The proposed school – St Catherine’s, Namasakata, will provide high quality secondary education for girls of all faiths and none.
This is a most ambitious project, which meets an urgent need and will be of direct benefit to girls from Nachingwea as they pursue their studies. It will add to the work the Link is already doing to support girls education by providing a safe place for study, for living and for recreation; a place of security to live, to learn and to grow.
The open house and garden at 57-61 London Road this year on Monday 30 May (the late spring bank holiday), will raise funds to support the building of the new school and all are invited to see the gardens and have coffee and lunch. Watch the next Messenger for details.
